Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium

As Common Core is implemented in all of our schools and across the State of California, the The Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium has aligned standardized tests with the CCSS and developed assessment tools that provide teachers, schools, and districts with more meaningful feedback about student learning. These assessments will be administered using computers, and thanks to the foresight of the DUSD technology team, all of our students already have access to digital devices to take the test and to practice in advance to get comfortable with the new process.

In order to prepare for full implementation of the Common Core State Standards in 2014-15, DUSD principals, teachers, and specialized staff participated in the new state assessments pilot programs, participated in professional development, ordered needed instructional materials, and planned technology upgrades so all of our schools and students are ready.
