Welcome to Maxwell Academy, an IB World School!

Dear Maxwell Families,

Welcome to the 2026–2027 school year at Maxwell Academy!

I am excited to join the Maxwell community and grateful for the warm welcome I have already received. From the moment I began learning about Maxwell, it was clear this is a school with a proud history, caring people, and traditions that matter. I look forward to getting to know our students, families, and staff as we continue building on those strengths together.

Maxwell Academy is a truly special place. As an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School, learning begins with curiosity, grows through inquiry, and encourages students to become compassionate, thoughtful citizens who make a positive difference in the world. We want every student to grow academically while also developing the confidence, compassion, and character they will carry long after they leave Maxwell.

Just as important as what we teach is how we learn together. Our school community is guided by C.A.R.E.: Choose Responsibly, Act Respectfully, Reflect Constantly, and Engage in Learning. These shared expectations complement the IB Learner Profile and help create a school where students feel safe, respected, included, and ready to learn. Every child deserves to know they belong, that their voice matters, and that they are capable of great things.

I believe children do their best when they know someone believes in them. When students feel seen, valued, and challenged, amazing things can happen.

As your principal, you'll see me in classrooms, on the playground, at school events, and around campus. I believe relationships begin by being present, listening well, and working together. The best schools are places where students, families, and educators learn from one another and work together toward a shared purpose: helping every child thrive. My goal is to partner with our staff and families so every child has the support they need to learn, grow, and thrive. Together, we'll honor Maxwell's traditions while continuing to learn, grow, and improve for our students.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Maxwell family. I can't wait to meet each of you and learn more about the stories, traditions, and people that make Maxwell such a special place. I know this is going to be a wonderful year, and I look forward to everything we'll accomplish together.

Estimadas familias de Maxwell:

¡Bienvenidos al nuevo año escolar!

Me da mucho gusto unirme a la comunidad de Maxwell Academy. Desde que comencé a conocer la escuela, descubrí que Maxwell es un lugar muy especial, con una gran historia, familias comprometidas y un personal que se preocupa profundamente por sus estudiantes. Estoy muy agradecida por la bienvenida que he recibido y emocionada por conocerlos y aprender junto a ustedes.

Como Escuela del Bachillerato Internacional (IB), en Maxwell creemos que el aprendizaje comienza con la curiosidad. Queremos que nuestros estudiantes piensen, hagan preguntas, trabajen con otros y desarrollen la confianza, la compasión y el carácter que les servirán durante toda la vida.

Nuestra comunidad también se guía por C.A.R.E.: Elegir con responsabilidad, Actuar con respeto, Reflexionar constantemente y Participar en el aprendizaje. Estos valores, junto con el Perfil de la Comunidad de Aprendizaje del IB, nos ayudan a crear una escuela donde todos los estudiantes se sientan seguros, respetados, incluidos y capaces de alcanzar su máximo potencial.

Creo que los estudiantes aprenden mejor cuando saben que alguien cree en ellos. Cuando un estudiante se siente visto, valorado y apoyado, puede lograr cosas increíbles.

Como su directora, me verán en los salones de clase, en el patio, en los eventos escolares y alrededor de la escuela. Creo que las mejores escuelas son aquellas donde estudiantes, familias y personal aprenden unos de otros y trabajan con un mismo propósito: ayudar a que cada estudiante tenga éxito. Mi compromiso es escuchar, trabajar en equipo y colaborar con nuestras familias para que todos los estudiantes aprendan, crezcan y se sientan parte de nuestra comunidad.

Gracias por darme la bienvenida a la familia de Maxwell. Espero conocer a cada uno de ustedes y trabajar junto a ustedes para que este sea un año lleno de aprendizaje, crecimiento y muchas oportunidades para nuestros estudiantes.
