Ms. Ochoa

Hello and Welcome!

 

My name is Ms. Ochoa, and I’m so excited to be part of the First Grade Team at Maxwell Academy! This will be my fourth year here, and I’m truly grateful to continue working with such a wonderful community of students, families, and educators.

 

My journey into teaching began while I was in college and joined a program called Jumpstart, where I worked with preschoolers. That experience completely shifted my path. I realized that my true calling was in the classroom—connecting with young learners, inspiring curiosity, and supporting their growth every day. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to teach in several districts, and every step has deepened my love for this profession.

 

Outside of school, I enjoy staying active with early-morning hikes on the weekends. I also love exploring Peruvian restaurants around L.A.—a way for me to stay connected to my family’s roots, as both of my parents are from Peru. And of course, any time spent with my family and my energetic 7 year old dog is time well spent!
