Mr. Jorge Orozco
Dear Parent or Guardian:
Welcome:
¡Mucho gusto! It’s nice to meet you! My name is Mr. Orozco and I am your child’s Spanish teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. This welcome letter provides information on my background, this year’s curriculum, and some classroom initiatives.
Background: I was born in Mexico and raised in California where I graduated from Whittier College. I achieved a BA in Spanish at Whittier College. I also studied and lived in the University of Veracruz Mexico.
POST-COLLEGE INFORMATION:
After college, I continued my post graduate education at Whittier College. There, I earned my Cleared Professional Teaching Credential. That experience led me to where I am today---this is my 14th year teaching and my first year with Maxwell Academy. I feel truly blessed to be able to work with students and parents of such a wonderful community.
Classroom: It is a primary goal to have students read, speak, listen and write in Spanish every class period. Additionally, your child will tap into their creative geniuses while working on fun projects like performing skits in class and creating music videos. As well as enhancing those core skills, students will be exposed to, and enriched with customs and traditions from Latin American and Hispanic cultures.
I am thrilled to have begun a new year at Maxwell Academy. If you would like to contact me in the future, please refer to the information below.
Sincerely,
Jorge Orozco
